What to do with Unwanted Medication

Do not flush medications down your toilet. Medications can find there way into our water supply, which not only supports our water sources but fish and wildlife as well.


Pour medication into a sealable plastic bag, if medication is solid, crush it or add water to dissolve it. Add cat litter, coffee grinds, sand, anything that pets or children will find less appealing to ingest. Remove your labels.Put in trash. You can recycle the plastic med bottles if you clean and remove labels.
